    Notes
    • Called Emile (pronounced Ay-myle) by the family. [Marjorie Kinman, Dorothy Harris]

Moved family from Iowa to Oregon in 1876. Lived around Bridgeport, Woodburn for 7 yrs. Father Levan came out to visit and told them they couldn't remain in this uncivilized place, so they returned to Iowa and lived near him & Cresco for 10 yrs. Then to Missouri for a year or two, then Canada for 2 yrs, then back to Washington/Oregon (Vancouver/Portland area). [Marjorie Kinman, from a letter written by Ladorah.]

In Canada, they lived near Innisfail, Alberta. Son Jay met wife Linnie Bourne there, and lots of Bournes live there still. Linda Gusa has visited them.

According to kids birthplaces listed in censuses, they lived in Oregon from 1876 through 1882 or later, then in Iowa from at least 1885 to 1895, and in Missouri in 1900.
