    Notes
    • Chalkley (vol I, p.244] says Rev. Samuel Shannon, Presbyterian, was granted a license to perform matrimony on Dec 20, 1785 by Augusta Co Court. So if he married them, they were one of his first marriages!

Birthdate issues: Tombstone data from Craig book says she died on 11/30/1823 and was 64, making her birthyear 1759 plus or minus one year. Dunlap says tombstone age was 70 -- don't know who is right here, as the tombstone was sunk too far in the ground to read when I saw it in 1992 - so he figured only that she must have been born after 1751, as she filed a suit 70 yrs later in 1821.

No Margaret b. to Ralph in IGI in right timeframe.
