    • 2nd cousin of Joseph Wanlace whose will she was named in. Kirkharle and Kirkwhelpington are adjacent parishes and her birthplace of Hawick was on the border and was transferred from Kirkharle to Kirkwhelpington in 1847, so that might be why she reported her birthplace as Kirkwhelpington in the 1851 census.

      Can't find in 1841 census; Hawick is only half a page.
