James Wanless, a weaver & coal dealer, married Jean Whyte in 1807 in Dundee, Angus, Scotland. William Wanless, a weaver, married Anne Johnstone in 1793 in Dundee. These 2 family lines converge with the 1900 marriage of Alexander Tulloch Wanless & Alice Sturrock Wanless - the relationship between the 2 is unknown so far. Most of this family stayed around Dundee, but some went to South Africa..
