Wanless / Wandless Families In Canada

Between 1841 and 1867, Ontario was known as Canada West and Québec as Canada East. From 1791-1841, Canada West was called Upper Canada and Québec was called Lower Canada. Upper Canada was west of the Ottawa River, while Lower Canada was east of the river.
