This directory lists businesses and residents in Canada in 1871, plus
it has all kinds of almanac-like facts and statistics about Canada at
the time. It is on microfiche in the Family History Library at Salt
Lake City. It is in alphabetical order by towns (within each
province) and covers Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, and
Prince Edward Island. So in order to find a person, you have to know
which town they lived in. This directory is in my local FHC and I'm
happy to look for people in it, but you have to tell me where they
lived. Email Holly (address on home page or Researcher Registry) with lookup requests.
